ROADsKILL

ROADsKILL has 500 questions and multiple choice answers to help you learn and pass the driving test. Not only will you learn the rules but you will also get used to the way questions are asked when you take your test.

All the questions are derived from RTA's Road Users' Handbook issued in July 2000, updated July 2002. ROADsKILL is for everyone to test or improve their knowledge of the laws and rules of the roads in NSW.

Sample questions:

  1. What do you do if an oncoming vehicle has crossed the middle line and is heading towards you on a collision course?
    a. Pull to the left, sound your horn or flash your lights.
    b. Pull to the right, sound your horn or flash your lights.
    c. Pull over to the right and stop until the vehicle has passed.

  2. You are about to angle park but there is no sign telling you how you should park, rear or front to the kerb. How should you park?
    a. Front to kerb.
    b. Rear to kerb.
    c. Optional.

  3. With how much are you allowed to exceed the speed limit when overtaking?
    a. You may exceed the speed limit with 10 km/h.
    b. You may exceed the speed limit with 20 km/h.
    c. You may not exceed the speed limit when overtaking
  4. Are you allowed to make a U-turn across double broken lines?
    a. Yes, if either line is broken it is permitted.
    b. Yes, if the road is clear and there is no risk to other vehicles.
    c. No.

  5. Can an occupant, other than the driver, be fined for not using the available seatbelt?
    a. Yes, if he or she is over 16.
    b. No, it is the driver's responsibility.
    c. No.
